This becomes imperative because of he quality of primary education in the country, also in the south south region. It is important that these states access the UBE funds to improve quality of primary education in the region.
Each of the states have unaccessed UBE funds to the tune of N10.14bn, the breakdown according to the amount each of the south south states is yet to access is outlined below.
Bayelsa: N2,871,081,082.46
Cross River: N1,042,027,028.40
Delta: N1,918,783,785.16
Edo: N2,394,932,441.80
Akwa Ibom: N1,918,783,785.16
Rivers states has accessed her UBE funds to date. Another question is whether the states can account for the funds it has accessed so far.
