This is the Mile 2 section of the Lagos light rail project. The project which started nine years ago was supposed to be completed four years after it was commissioned. The extension of the blue line rail which goes through Badagry express way from the National Art Theatre, Orile currently ends at mile 2. The construction of the rail line on this section of the project has stopped for more than one year without any explanation for it.
Work ongoing on the sea crossing section of the project in Ebute ero. The piling is almost completed. From the Fertilizer axis, work towards Ebute Ero remains about four group of piles.
