Dear Ambode, Kindly find a solution to the Fadeyi pedestrian bridge

by Usman Alabi

Dear Governor, it is important that the Fadeyi pedestrian bridge on Ikorodu road be fixed to put an end to the risk people go through by crossing the express. Pedestrians are currently not allowed to use the Fadeyi pedestrian bridge, the reason though is not far fetched, the pedestrian bridge is in a state of disrepair and it is dangerous for pedestrians.

The iron bridge is weak and shaky with large holes that could be seen from below. The reason why the Lagos state government closed down the bridge for more than four months. Ever since then, it has been difficult for pedestrians who wants to cross to the other side of the road. The Ikorodu road is a very busy road especially in the morning and evenings of work days, motorists find it difficult stopping for pedestrians who intend crossing to the other side of the road. Some of them thinking the bridge is still in use show signs with their hands telling the pedestrians to use the bridge

Recently their was an accident on the road involving a lady who was trying to cross to the other side of the road. We urge Governor Ambode to immediately find a solution to the bridge so that people can use it rather than putting their lives at risk by crossing the express.
