Despite the slow pace of work at the construction site of the Ijoko flyover, work continues on the project. The project which started more than three years ago according to commuters in the area was once abandoned by the Ogun state government for several months alongside other similar projects in the area.
However, progress has been recorded on one side of the Ijoko road, as the dust laden road has been asphalted, while the progress has not been replicated on the other wing of the road. Though the project is moving at a snail pace, there is no doubt that the project will eventually be complemented in the interest of the people.
It is important that the project be completed to ameliorate the traffic and environmental challenge experienced on that road.
