Imo state lawmakers in both houses of the National Assembly nominated constituency projects worth several millions of naira for 2018. All these projects are expected to be implemented once funds have been released, but like in the past, some of the projects may be abandoned halfway into completion and some may not even be initiated at all, yet on paper, funds have been released and it is assumed that they have been implemented.
This mostly occur because citizens are not aware of the existence of constituency projects, and those that are aware do not demand accountability by following up with their representatives regarding its implementation.
To put an end to this, YMonitor has decided to make the information available to constituents in a simplified form, so that citizens armed with this information can take action towards demanding good governance.
All you need to do is to follow up with your representatives in his constituency office, all lawmakers have constituency office in their district. If you are unable to locate this, go to your local government office to find out, or log on to the NASS website for information on such lawmaker.
