Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku presented a budget estimate of N110.2 for the 2017 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly
The budget has N49.3 billion as recurrent expenditure representing 44.7 per cent, while N60.8 billion representing 55.3 per cent was set aside for capital expenditure.
The budget is a little above the 2016 estimate which was N100.8 billion. Economic empowerment through the budget gulps N4.4 billion, the health sector gulps N4.9 billion while N2.5 billion was allocated for the education sector.
Housing sector got N12.1 billion, N5.6 billion was for environmental improvement and N7.1 billion was for water supply. Road construction got N11.1 billion while reforms of government and governance got N5.3 billion.
