by Usman Alabi

The former FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a controversial Land swap deal put at N1 trillion.

Report has it that the ex Minister is being investigated for alleged fictitious contracts running into N1 billion and the allocation of twelve properties and 37 commercial plots of Land to a suspected Mohammed.

Bala Mohammed who was once a Senator representing Bauchi state was the FCT Minister under President Goodluck Jonathan from 2010 to 2015.

The anti corruption war is beginning to gain momentum as more of those who worked in the last administration are dragged into the net. You would recall that, former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro who voluntarily surrendered last week Monday to the EFCC is still in their custody, also Fani Kayode who reportedly slumped in the EFCC custody is also with the anti graft agency, and just yesterday, the former media aid to the ex President Jonathan, Reuben Abati was also quizzed by the EFCC on matters connected to the Dasukigate.
