It’s been two weeks since our dear Governor made his declaration on the state of our roads. It’s been two weeks and the potholes in my area seem to have grown in leaps and bounds. It’s been two weeks and you can still see cars stuck in ditches.
If you’re not going to do something about the state of our roads don’t address it and make declarations dear Governor. Don’t be like that boyfriend that promises a girl the moon and the stars only to break up with her a day before valentine because he doesn’t want to get her a gift.
It’s been two weeks and I haven’t seen the effects of this declaration. Then again audio declarations are just that audios. It seems this administration weren’t privy to hearing the cliche statement in primary school that “actions speak louder than words”. I haven’t seen any form of repair along my route. Orile is still a mess, Surulere roads, that’s a discussion that needs to be had over wine.
