The Kwara state governor will today officially launch the state’s Infrastructure Development Fund (IFK). Alhaji Abdulwahab Yusuf, the alternate chairman of the Fund implementation committee said the event will be holding at the Government House, Ilorin. The event will be witnessed by stakeholders in the banking sector, business, education, construction and public sectors. The official launch of the fund according to Alhaji Abdulwahab will mark the commencement of the scheme.
Earlier this year, the governor initiated the scheme which is said to offer a reliable funding window for infrastructural projects, the governor, Abulfatah Ahmed at the time said the objective of the fund is to provide a guided, systemic and outward facing framework for continuous and consistent infrastructure development, optimally leverage private sector or resources for infrastructure development and maximize the state’s resource allocation policies.
