The Lagos Badagry express road is perhaps the junk yard of ongoing projects in Lagos, as several projects could be seen ongoing on the express road ranging from the modern light rail project, to the Alaba flyover, to the Alakija complex of flyovers and road construction.
Like every other project on the Badagry express road, Alaba flyover is also a huge project that is on both side of the express road. The flyover is perhaps part of the larger project of constructing a ten lane express road which will also accommodate a rail line.
The project is not anywhere near completion but it is ongoing, and the speed of work is not bad. The project is being managed by CCECC. The exact cost of the project cannot be ascertained as this is not explicitly contained in the Lagos 2017 budget. The completion date for the project cannot be immediately determined, but with the current speed of work on the project, it is obvious that the state hope to deliver the project in no time.
