It is important for us, especially for citizens of Ogun state to monitor and track the Ogun state light rail project which the governor said would be commencing January this year. The question is whether the state has actually commenced the project?, if it has not, why?.
The governor said last year that “The first phase of the project will include a 57km Agbara-Berger, 54km Ofada-Sagamu, and 84km Abeokuta-Sagamu-Ijebu Ode rail projects, among others,”. The projects which is slated to be completed in 2019.

The first phase of the project is expected to have a total length of 195 kilometres.
