Governor Ambode said the proposed site for the relocation of mile 12 market in Imota will be completed in six months. He said this on the 12th of April, 2016. Two years after, the new site has not been completed, and the state of work on the site is abysmally poor. The shops completed so far are scanty.
Imota is located at the outskirt of Ikorodu. one of the engineers on the site who does not want to be named said “The delay in the project is due to the topography of the land”, although he claimed that the project will be completed very soon, the present state of work on the site does not give credence to that.
