Olabiran street in Somolu was one of the major complaints at the YMonitor grassroots engagement hosted by Somolu local government.
At the engagement, citizens complained about the imbalance in the distribution of road infrastructure in the LGA, as well as the issue of waste disposal. They complained that the cleaner Lagos trucks take time to come, which often lead to the piling up of the refuse for long.
Olabiran street was one of the culprit street mentioned, known for its huge heap of refuse which has now covered the drainage.

The representative of the local government chairman promised to take up the complains with his principal. The chairman has however ordered that the refuse dump in Olabiran street be cleared.
We were told that Cleaner Lagos would be coming to clear the refuse since there is a culvert for them to pass through when they come.
