The one week ASUU strike enters day one today.
ASUU is going on this warning strike to demand that the Federal government implement the 2009 agreement which includes condition of service, University autonomy, academic freedom, and university funding. The agreement was reached after two years of negotiation between government team and ASUU. The government team appointed by the then Education Minister, Obiageli Ezekwesili was led by the late Gamaliel Onosode while the ASUU team was led by its then President, Sule Kano.
Share with us what you think about the warning strike, do you think this is the right time for such, and what if the government is not responsive to their demand, do you think it could lead to a general strike. Leave your comment below or send us an email on contact@ymonitor.org
