In furtherance to empowering the citizens with the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, Precious Chukwuekezie, our Enugu state Ambassador has been at the helm of advocacy, amplifying our FOI awareness Campaign in Enugu state.
Precious recently took the FOI awareness campaign to the Enugu State Ministry of Transportation; she intended to engage the ministry’s permanent secretary and other staffs on ensuring compliance with the FOI Act in the Ministry.
During the advocacy visit, she met with the Ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs Ngozi Ugwu, who was glad about the development. She is familiar with the FOI Act and its importance. The PRO commended YMonitor for the laudable initiative and offered to create more awareness about the FOI Act. A few copies of our guides were also distributed to the ministry.
Precious has equally been to other institutions within the state; these include Sunrise FM 96.1, Enugu State Library Board, Holy Rosary College (HRC), National Library, where she engaged the staff and donated our guides for public use.
