Who knew that with all the problems this administration is faced with from insecurity, unemployment, electricity and the list is countless. Who knew cars for our senators was going to make an entry on our list of problems.
Senator Yahaya Abdulahi seems to be of the opinion that 5.5 billion being allocated for the purchase of cars for Senators is nothing worth raising an eye brow for. In his words “It is an insult to say that a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria cannot ride a jeep in Nigeria. I know what ministers get and we are higher than them”
Ignorant comments like this make me laugh in Swahili. There’s so much that he could be losing sleep over but it’s the “jeep” that he will “ride” that is of importance to him. Stomach politics is alive and well in this administration. The senator must think the office of public service is a an all access gate pass to living like a popstar.
It’s clear the average Nigerian’s struggles and Senator Yahaya’s struggles are on different levels. While we seek for basic things like good roads and stable power supply. Yahaya has his eyes set on “ordinary jeep”
