EFCC monitor. N40 billion fraud: EFCC re-arraigns Nyako, son and others

The EFCC has re-arraigned the former governor of Adamawa state, Murtala Nyako, his son and Senator Abdulaziz Nyako and two others before a federal High Court in Abuja over an alleged N40bn fraud.

Others who were arraigned with them are Zulkifik Abba and Abubakar Aliyu who were joined as third and fourth defendants, while the firms allegedly used for laundering the funds- Blue Opal Limited, Sebore Farms and Extension Limited, Pagoda Fortunes Limited, Tower Assets Management Limited and Crust Energy Limited were joined as 5th to 9th defendants respectively.

They were arraigned on a 37 counts of money laundering allegedly perpetrated while Nyako was still the governor of Adamawa state.
