This road extension in Igbogbo, Ikorodu is the reason for the demolition of properties in that area, the exercise started few weeks back. Reports gathered has it that the road construction is towards Ijede, Ijebu-Ode. Properties on this road has been demolished, but there are controversies as to why some buildings are yet to be demolished. The Palace of the Oba of Igbogbo which is also standing on the road is yet to be demolished, same applies to the shrine directly in the middle of the road. No one has been able to give reasons as to why these properties are yet to be demolished. Churches and other properties on the road have been demolished. Some public properties especially on the right side of the road are also yet to be demolished.
