The annual TFP symposium which held on the 30th of May this year highlighted several issues related to citizens engagement with the government as well as open governance. The symposium which had the theme “Open Governance: Improving transparency and accountability” further emphasized the benefit of a transparent government especially in a growing democracy like ours. The various speakers in attendance threw light on the benefits of an open budget system as well as the benefits of citizens advocacy.
The TFP who were the organizers of the symposium supported by NED (National Endowment for Democracy) however produced a white paper of the symposium which detailed the various deliberations at the symposium as well as the conclusions
