The quarterly show was a debate on the performance of President Buhari in the last five years. Leonard Ebute, a public Affairs analyst and Ife Adebayo, the special assistant to the Vice President on innovation and entrepreneurship.
Ife Adebayo argued that the President has done tremendously well in virtually all areas of his promises. He rated the government very high on security, social investment, infrastructural development and security. He stated that prior to this time it was difficult to leave in Abuja or travel to the northeast zone, but now the federal capital is completely safe, and Boko Haram is no long able to take territories.
In terms of infrastructure, there is the legacy project like the second Niger bridge which before the current administration was a project on paper. He also stated that the administration has reduced poverty by 20% which is immensely commendable.
Leonard Ebute disagreeing with this stated that the government has done poorly in all the areas Ife Adebayo has highlighted, he said Ife’s score card of the president is completely ridiculous.
And insecurity has not only increased but has appeared in different dimensions bringing to the fore complexities that were not known in the history of the country, such as banditry, kidnapping. He rated the president low in performance, he also further argued that the economy which is deep in recession has not fared well.
