The challenge with this huge debt figures is that only few of the states can actually justify this debt, also only very few of them have a GDP that can sustain their huge debt profile.
Most of these states cannot account for their debts as the dividends of government are hardly felt by people in these states, this call to question the issues of accountability and transparency. The usual suspicion about how states incur their huge debt profile would continue to surface until they open their books and learn to account for every penny spent.
