EFCC monitor: EFCC releases Obanikoro and Reuben Abati

Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, a former Minister of State for defence, has signed an undertaken to return N480 million to the federal government, and also submits his United States and Nigerian passports to the EFCC.
In addition, he has also provided two sureties who are directors in the Federal Civil Service who according to requirements must also present a three-month salary pay slip.
Sources said the former Minister has returned N100 million and has pledged to return N480 million. The actual balance is meant to be N685m, but was able to provide receipts for some transactions. He paid N85m to someone and that person has been traced.
“He also bought some bulletproof vehicles when he was minister and they will be handed over to the EFCC. The cost of the vehicles will be deducted from the amount that should be returned. Having met the conditions, he should be released any time from now.”
In the light of this, could it be that EFCC is only interested in getting back the looted funds and not prosecuting the offenders, leave your opinion below.

It is only in this country, we witnesses all sort of abnormal cases like this . A bloody civilian will be robe, prosecuted and sentenced while the so called political leaders who were defrauding the country of billions, trillions of naira were there roaming around the country. Well my own view on this, is that the so called investigation agencies of government should be transparent and sincere with what they are doing because
” the young shall grow” . The judiciary should not sell their birth right all in the name of defence, otherwise the country ( Nigeria) might witness what we called anarchy .Remember everyone is technology wise.Imagine Obanikoro a whole minister. O maa we ooo
