Report just reaching us has it that 21 of the Chibok girls have been released by the Boko Haram sect. Tell us how you feel on this report
According to Mallam Garba Shehu, the senior Special Adviser to the president on media and publicity, the release of the girls in a limited number is an outcome of negotiations between the federal government and the book haram group brokered by the Red Cross and the Swiss Government.
He stated that the girls released would soon be handed over to the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo by the DSS.
You would recall that more than 200 girls were kidnapped by the Boko Haram sect in 2014in the Chibok area of Borno state which sparked international outcry.
