EFCC monitor: EFCC arrests Reuben Abati

by Ajadi Daniel

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested former Adviser on media to ex President Goodluck Jonathan, Reuben Abati.

Abati was arrested on Monday and is expected to spend the Night at the office of the EFCC. The ex Presidential aid is being questioned on allegation of allegedly receiving some money from Col Sambo Dasuki (retd), former National Security Adviser.

The arrest of Abati makes him the third aid of the former president currently in the custody of the EFCC for corruption related matters.  You would recall that, the former Minister of State for Defence Senator Musiliu Obanikoro was arrested by the anti-graft agency after his voluntary surrender last week Monday. Femi Fani Kayode, a former campaign spokes man of ex President Jonathan, arrested on Friday is still with the EFCC.
