YMonitor Infographics: What the figures say about Kogi

by Usman Alabi

Do you think Kogi state’s governance record has been impressive? Not an industrial state like Lagos, its commercial base is agriculture and the government is the largest employer of labour.

Kogi is still reliant on federal allocation as her internally generated revenue is way below  her federal allocation in 2018, it had N53 billion in federal allocation last year while the IGR was N11billion.

The state is notorious for owing workers salaries and there are little or no changes in terms of governance infrastructures different from the usual pattern.

Kogi need to develop industrial agricultural capacities to expand her internally generated revenue and also come up with policies that gives room for private sector participation in the state.

  1. First off I would like to say excellent blog!
I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t
mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear
your head before writing. I have had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out.
I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems
like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?

    Many thanks!

  2. Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole my iphone and
tested to see if it can survive a 30 foot drop, just so she
can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and
she has 83 views. I know this is completely off topic but I had
    to share it with someone!
