The My Vote My Voice comics is an interesting cartoon illustration by Ymonitor, an initiative of The Future Project aimed at galvanizing young Nigerians to get their Permanent Voters Cards and vote in the 2023 elections. This comic series adopts interesting and relatable experiences to address issues around elections.
The comic shares the story of Ebenezer and his adventures with a Social Advocate, Sade; Ebenezer is an average guy who likes Sade, but he blew his chances of ever getting her because he is not an active Nigerian. This comic addresses issues of political sensitization, political awareness and youths’ participation in politics. The comics were designed in English, Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba and Pidgin to appeal to the diverse Nigerian demographic. So whether learned or not, everyone can relate to it.
