Lagos tracker: Ongoing road construction at Alapere, Ketu is below standard

The quality of work at the ongoing road construction at Alapere is completely below standard. Commuters have also complained about the standard of work by the contractor. The asphalt was poorly laid and it was just on the surface. None of the road pavement have been covered, the entire work is not tidy. What is probably left which will cover the flaws would be the paintings. YMonitor had been on the project from inception, and we can categorically say that the quality of work on the project was poor compared to what obtains else where. This has also been confirmed by the those that ply the road on a daily basis especially commercial drivers.

The intensity of work on the site has reduced, though some workers could still be seen on site working on the pavement that divides each section of the road.
