President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, 31st December 2021 signed the 2022 Appropriation Bill into law.
According to the budget passed by the National Assembly in December, the total expenditure is N17.12 trillion while total revenue projection is put at N10.74 trillion; leaving a deficit of N6.3trn.
The initial Budget estimate submitted by the President to the lawmakers for consideration was N16.4 trillion; N735bn lower than what has been now been signed into law.
