The project was flagged off in September last year, and it involves the reconstruction of a ten lane Oshodi International Airport Road. The governor promised to complete the project in 15 months. Work is ongoing on the project, and the progress report on the reconstruction

The ongoing project involves the reconstruction and expansion of the existing carriage to a three lane  expressway on both directions, construction of two lane service road service roads in both directions.
